The reflections of the great Roman statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero on how to live a 'good life' of contentment and moral virtue. This edition includes a preface by the philosopher A.C. Grayling, a substantial introduction and explanatory notes by the translator Michael Grant, and an index of Latin and Greek terms.
