Such a Good Man (Tolerance Trilogy)

Narrator Paul Cornell thinks he is sailing smoothly toward his fortieth birthday when the sudden appearance of an old flame rocks his boat. Paul knows he has never forgotten George, but he is still unprepared for the rush of emotions and the waves of disruption that follow their chance meeting.

An attorney for a staid old New York City church, Paul is unused to drama in his life, until George reappears and offers him everything he ever dreamed of, in one beautiful package. But what about Jason, Paul's handsome and devoted mate? SUCH A GOOD MAN, Volume 3 of Bruce K Beck's Tolerance Trilogy, follows Paul as he explores his heart, survives violence, and makes some difficult choices.

Along with his personal drama, Paul is swept up in the cold realities of anti-Semitism and racial prejudice as they work their subtle and overt ways through American society. These are uncharted waters for Paul, and they drag him out of his safe, white Protestant harbor. With the help of a few close friends and one close family member-and lots of steamy sex, naturally-Paul charts his course for the future.

Bruce K Beck is both a writer and an accomplished chef. Before turning to fiction-his Love Trilogy to start, followed by Obsession and now the final volume of Tolerance-he authored PRODUCE: A FRUIT AND VEGETABLE LOVERS' GUIDE, which was called "gorgeous" by The New York Times, "a dazzler" by Bon Appetit, and "the most spectacular food book of the year" by The Boston Globe. His next book was THE OFFICIAL FULTON FISH MARKET COOKBOOK, which was called "invaluable" by Jacques Pépin, and "a treasure" by Irene Sax of Newsday. And Rex Reed said, ". . .you'll love this book. It's like a movie!"
