The Good Opera Guide will tell you all you want to know about over eighty of the most popular operas recorded on CD. It gives the plots, what to look for in the music, news and gossip about the way each opera was composed and first produced plus a trenchant citique of each one. This book will amuse and infuriate opera lovers who are opera-prone, but opera-ignorant.
