Good Practice in the Early Years

This second edition of the comprehensive guide Good Practice in Childcare has been thoroughly revised in line with the latest legislation, particularly in the areas of child protection, day-care standards, Special Educational Needs standards, and disability rulings.

Janet Kay focuses on the following issues:
- children's rights
- children's safety
- anti-discriminatory practice
- equality
- confidentiality
- reflective practice.

She also deals with the dilemmas that can arise from implementing such good practice.

An invaluable aid to all childcare courses, this guide provides students with case studies and exercises which will help them develop and demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the subject.
