The Only Good Snake . . .: Tales from a Rattlesnake Whisperer (Hardback or Cased Book)

As a passionate advocate for snakes since his youth, Dave Jensen later specialized in urban snake removal, observing the fascinating human reactions to snakes and the misconceptions that cause people to fear them.

With an engaging personal style, Jensen highlights the thrilling nature of his work relocating rattlesnakes in a large metropolitan area. His extensive interaction with both serpents and the people who fear or misunderstand them sets the stage for compelling, anecdotal storytelling. This book explores the relationship between humans and snakes from a firsthand perspective, providing entertaining and memorable insights into this unique symbiosis.

Jensen’s expertise, earned through years of handling rattlesnakes in urban environments, provides personal observations into their vital role in nature and the challenges of peaceful coexistence with humans. In tales of encounters, ranging from the humorous to the unexpected, readers can immerse themselves in an engaging mix of adventure and education.

The moniker “Snake Whisperer” reflects Jensen’s ability to connect with these creatures in a way that goes beyond mere relocation, fostering a deeper appreciation for their complexity and importance in a world that all too often holds them in contempt.

Beyond the personal narrative, Jensen’s book serves as both an entertaining read and an informative guide, challenging misconceptions while encouraging respect for these remarkable reptiles. Whether readers are snake enthusiasts or wary skeptics, the book offers a fresh perspective, potentially transforming their view of rattlesnakes from fearsome monsters into fascinating and indispensable creatures that serve humanity while adding beauty and diversity to our world.
