Getting married and staying married are very different things. Drawing on her many years of experience as a marriage counselor, Bartusis offers lots of solid advice to anyone contemplating the plunge. Most of the advice is not new, but this is a good compendium garnered from surveying newlyweds and "Forever Lovers," those who have been at the game for a number of years. She claims more marriages fall apart because of unmade beds than from hopping into someone else's bed. Her best advice is to have a "date," each week with your spouse to discuss sex, money, and household chores. An advocate of staying together, Bartusis hopes that this book will help the next generation of married people do better than the last. She also mentions that libraries are a great source of information on all of the topics she discusses.

I've been collecting books for over 50 years and now am a spry 80 and going strong. I try and get books out same day as order comes in and love it when someone writes that they's been looking for a book for years and finally found it with me!
