New York: D. Appleton & Company, 1853. Published 1853. Story of a city boy, Gilbert Harland, who went to the country. Illustrated with engravings. Red cloth lettered and decorated in gilt and in blind, 192 pages. Some cover wear and light soil, small chip to cloth near the bottom of the front cover, good hinges, sound text block, gift notation on preliminary blank, no other markings, pages heavily foxed but entirely readable. Hard Cover. Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
