Good Things Come Out of Unfortunate Events is a series of short stories that deal with some of life's toughest issues (suicide, cancer, horrific accidents, brain aneurysms, aging, anxiety, pandemics, tragic injuries, and job loss, to name a few). Difficult life events are seen through the eyes of the main character, George Justin Time Yilliams.

As the reader travels through George's experiences, they meet people that persevere through the tough times and find a way to honor their loved ones. These stories highlight how these individuals use love to create legacies so their loved ones' memories live on forever.

Along that path of love, many lessons are learned, some of which include:

Appreciate the smaller stories/moments in life.
Try to be an optimist instead of a pessimist.
Sometimes life's greatest rewards come through its worst struggles.
Stay true to your nature.
Celebrate the successes; learn from the failures.
Never assume you can't help.
You are not in control.
