Add to basketAn insightful study by Upton Sinclair on the educational system in the United States. The sixth edition, one of two thousand copies published in December 1924.'The Goose-Step' presents Upton Sinclair's study on the consequences of a plutocratic capitalist control over the educational system in America, in particular over colleges and universities.Sinclair penned this work during the Red Scarce in interwar America, an interesting contribution to sociological study. Among the institutions mentioned in this work are Columbia, Havard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Cornell, Brown, and Wesleyan.Sinclair was a popular American author whose career spanned across the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In 1943 he won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel 'Dragon's Teeth'.Seven pages of adverts to the rear. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart, with very light edge wear, resulting in a small amount of loss to the head and tail of the spine. Small tears to the tail of the joints and head of the rear joint. Light spots and marks to the wraps. Prior owner's ink inscription to the head of the front wrap. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good.
