Good reading condition used 1969 Reprinted Edition Hardback with intact Dust Jacket. Published by Leo Cooper Ltd, London. Author: Christopher Sinclair-Stevenson. Edited by Lt-General Sir Brian Horrocks. ISBN: 0850520215. Approx dims: 220mm h x 145mm w x 12mm d. Intact sunned condition dust jacket with slight fraying to bottom left corner back cover, slight creasing to edges, slight rubbing and some signs of handling. Intact sunned and slightly creased spine. DJ over very good condition green cloth boards. 133 clean, slightly off white pages of English text with some b&w illustrations. Previous owner has made black ink lines to 5 or 6 pages to highlight some paragraphs of interest, no other inscriptions. Slight sunning to page ends. Image shown is actual book for sale. Synopsis: The Gordon Highlanders were raised as the 100th Regiment of Foot by the Duke of Gordon in 1794, expressly to fight in the war against Republican France, and they have been fighting ever since.
