The Gospel for Asia. This item is unavailable. The Gospel for Asia

"The Gospel for Asia" provides an insightful and scholarly exploration of three foundational religious texts that have shaped the spiritual landscape of the East and the West. Kenneth J. Saunders masterfully compares "The Bhagavad Gita", "The Lotus Sutra", and the "Gospel of John" (the Fourth Gospel), examining their unique theological contributions and the striking parallels between their visions of divinity and human salvation.

This study delves into the core tenets of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity, seeking to identify common ground and distinct differences in their approaches to the divine-human relationship. Saunders approaches these three masterpieces with deep respect for their cultural and historical contexts, highlighting how each text serves as a spiritual cornerstone for millions. By placing these diverse traditions in conversation, the work illuminates the universal themes of light, love, and spiritual enlightenment.

"The Gospel for Asia" remains a significant contribution to the field of comparative religion, offering readers a bridge between the wisdom of the East and the biblical traditions of the West. It is an essential read for students of theology, philosophy, and interfaith dialogue, providing a nuanced perspective on the shared religious heritage of humanity.
