In the museum. the old man paused before a shelf of manuscripts. "Here are some of the teachings assembled by those who were working with the young at the end of the world. You will be amazed at the clumsiness of these teachers. But you must realize that these were primitive men who didn't really know who they were, but who somehow had the clue that the secret lay in finding their right identity."
He stopped before a particular shelf and picked up a bettered old manuscript. He held it lovingly abd said, "This book was written during the 1970's, not long before the end of the world. It was written by one of those who had a great struggle of his own trying to face the crisis. He was too old to make it across in the same body, but his own search revealed some keys which helped others. He was a bridge.
"I submit this book because it is valuable to see how truths which eventually led to the freedom of mankind were voiced at that time. But, you seem I am partial. I was one of the young who survived. This book was written by one of my teachers, and I am grateful because, although he was barely on the end of understanding, he helped me find out who I am. Here is his book…."
