This book takes the multidimensional nature of innovation as its point of departure, bringing together leading scholars from a variety of backgrounds to provide an authoritative and comprehensive overview of contemporary innovation challenges.

Each chapter adopts its own disciplinary perspective, but all share a common focus on the dynamics that are present in the governance of innovation. The concept of governance is central to describing the social dynamics of innovation and the `nuts and bolts' of innovation processes.
