Synopsis
Grace and Mercy - Meditations of a Contemporary Contemplative is comprised of 31+ daily meditations on grace and mercy. These contemplative devotionals are a bold and honest acknowledgement of the embattled human condition and speak to our desperate need to neutralize our bitter, sinful nature. This book will find its way into the hearts of scholars, theologians, preachers, teachers, addicts, prostitutes and the puritanical; over-achievers, slackers, drop-outs, and comedians; the unemployed, under-employed, over-worked and the homeless; the undeserving, the needy and the lost. Each page will minister to the broken and restless human spirit that dwells in each of us.
About the Author
Jon Campbell writes about God and funny stuff as the Spirit moves him. After completing college in West Texas, he pursued the ministry in his father’s footsteps but found, after 3 years of seminary, that he was better suited for something else. He hasn’t found that something else...yet. But writing has always been a needed, therapeutic outlet for communicating and connecting with people. Jon splits his time between Houston and Marble Falls, TX. He is married to Amy Giesecke Campbell (Redhot), a notary public and redhead. They have two daughters between their previous marriages – Rudy and Cheerio – and a grill they bought at a garage sale.
