His Grace is Sufficient

His grace is sufficient . . . . What a powerful and awesome statement, and how incredibly true it has been every day of my life. It is by His grace that I am who I am – Susan – a child of God, forgiven and covered by His grace. It is by the Lord’s mercy and grace that I am here today, happy, healthy and whole in spirit and mind, able to live, laugh and love in triumph throughout it all. This book has been over 14 years in the making. The journals started with the death of our son in January 1994, and culminated during my diagnosis and battle with breast cancer. Within these pages are the journals that I have kept while going through those particular bumps and valleys in my life. I started the first journal within a few days after our son, Edward died, and began another journal again when I was diagnosed in June 2001 with Stage 3 breast cancer. I have to say that of all the experiences I have personally gone through in my life, losing our son was the worst thing, there are really no words adequate enough to express the emptiness and huge void left in a heart after losing a child. If you don’t hold onto the “getting by” grace that God so lovingly supplies during this dark valley, you can be swallowed up and consumed by grief. I thank God every day for my faith in His grace and love. Through EVERYTHING God has been with me every step of the way and has blessed me abundantly with HIS grace and mercy.
