Grade 3 Math Standardized Testing Exercise Workbook: Practice Questions with Solutions and Assessment Guidance

The standardized math test that confronts every third-grade student is a very broad and comprehensive assessment of the knowledge that the students have gained in mathematics. Many parents and teachers would like to gauge the progress of the students before this test is taken. This book is the result of close examination and reverse-engineering of this test, with the aim of emulating the style and approach that the students will face on the actual exam day. It provides over 400 practice questions which span across all topics that are likely to appear on the test. The questions and solutions have been carefully designed to simulate the types of multiple choice options as well as open response questions, that tend to be on the test, and the solutions have been written to mimic the marking standards that are applied when grading the exam. This book then goes one step further, by providing detailed solutions and explanations for each question, as well as specific error codes that allow for enhanced tracking, so that the student can learn specifically why they have made the errors that they have made. The goal is to pinpoint any patterns that appear in the student's responses, which can then lead to debriefing, follow-up, and customized lesson planning. This book has been designed to address the skills that are present in the standardized test for third grade math in Ontario, Canada, however, this assessment can also serve as an effective benchmark for students in other geographic locations.
