Handsomely bound in full calf leather with black leather label on the spine. Numerous gold rules along the spine as well. Very attractive and in good shape. With foxing to the endpapers and the front and rear paste-downs. A fascinating book with the second half being speaking exercises all linguistically articulated. A charming and comprehensive volume. The author is Johnathan Barber, member of the Royal College of Surgeons, London. Instructor in Elocution in Harvard University. Early edition with 1832 title page date and 1830 copyright page date.
