Wilson 1862. 12mo publisher's flushcut cloth with printed paper label on the front; xvi,168pp. Rather a good copy and, much better, missionary and Pacific linguist George Brown's copy with his signature. Maunsell has reworked his original (published in parts in 1842-43). George Brown began his missionary career in Samoa in 1860 but is better remembered for his work in New Britain in the 1870s. But he is probably best remembered (at least by modern secularists) for his ethnological and linguistic efforts. Seller Inventory # 8268
