Granby Ballroom Days

Granby Ballroom Days is a nostalgic story of first love, family, faith, friendship, and heartbreak set in small-town Iowa during the 1970s.

On New Year’s Eve, 1973, Kasha Marler walks into the Granby Ballroom expecting music, dancing, and one unforgettable night with friends. What she does not expect is Jason Romera, a brooding young man whose presence changes the direction of her life. Their connection is immediate, intense, and complicated, pulling Kasha into a world of hope, jealousy, longing, and emotional conflict.

Raised in a large Catholic family and shaped by the quiet expectations of small-town life, Kasha is caught between who she has always been and who she is becoming. As graduation, college dreams, shifting friendships, family responsibilities, and painful romantic choices begin to reshape her world, she must decide what kind of love is worth holding onto and what kind of heartache she must finally leave behind.

Filled with music, memories, Saturday-night dances, and the emotional uncertainty of young adulthood, Granby Ballroom Days is a heartfelt novel about growing up, falling hard, losing innocence, and finding the courage to keep moving forward.
