Grandma's Magic Scissors: Paper Cutting from A-Z

Winner of two national and one regional awards! For nearly 2000 years people have been creating art with only scissors and paper. Hans Christian Anderson used to use paper cutting to help tell his stories but the practice slipped away-till now. Grandma's Magic Scissors: Paper Cutting from A-Z by Linda S. Day puts stories and paper cutting back together again. The result is pure magic. This is the kind of crafting, how-to-book that teachers, crafters and parents are looking for. With this book at your fingertips you will find simple, easy instructions on how to fold the paper, copy the patterns and cut out the artwork. Over 100 full sized patterns plus stories and poems that go with the patterns. These patterns can be used for telling stories, scrapbooking, home décor and more. Adults will be reminded of the joy of folding paper and cutting shapes, which become snowflakes, hearts, dragons and more. It will help children develop fine motor skills as they create magic with their own scissors and spend hours turning plain paper into art that is limited only by their own imaginations.
