Grandpa's Code

Grandpa's Code is a collection of essays from the perspective of a "commonsensible contextualist"-someone who has found the Bible to be the most commonsense book ever written and one that is most effectively consumed and used when read in the context of its writers and the times and circumstances in which they lived, as well as the reader's time and circumstances in which he or she lives. Labels such as "liberal," "conservative," or "moderate" turn author Bruce E. Bryce off. As God's name, Yahweh, reflects His divine essence-I AM WHO I AM-so too must every single one of His children stand on the ground of who they are. This book says that you should be yourself as you allow God to lead you to become. It is an alternative to the oft-established narrow lines of theological and religious beliefs and practices.

Bruce Bryce has been a pastor in the United Methodist and United Presbyterian (USA) churches for fifty years. At the same time, he has been a chaplain in hospitals, nursing homes, and a hospice. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for fifty-two years. They have two children and five grandchildren.
