Graph Theory with Algorithms and its Applications

The book has many important features which make it suitable for both undergraduate and postgraduate students in various branches of engineering and general and applied sciences. The important topics interrelating Mathematics & Computer Science are also covered briefly. The book is useful to readers with a wide range of backgrounds including Mathematics, Computer Science/Computer Applications and Operational Research. While dealing with theorems and algorithms, emphasis is laid on constructions which consist of formal proofs, examples with applications. Uptill, there is scarcity of books in the open literature which cover all the things including most importantly various algorithms and applications with examples.

Dr. S. Saha Ray is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India. Dr. Saha Ray completed his Ph.D. in 2008 from Jadavpur University, India. He received his M.C.A. degree in the year 2001 from Bengal Engineering College, Sibpur, Howrah, India. He completed his M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics at Calcutta University in 1998 and B.Sc. (Honors) in Mathematics at St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, in 1996.  Dr. Saha Ray has about 12 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has also more than 10 years of research experience in various field of Applied Mathematics. He has published several research papers in numerous fields and various international journals of repute like Transaction ASME Journal of Applied Mechanics, Annals of Nuclear Energy, Physica Scripta, Applied Mathematics and Computation, etc. He is a member of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) and American Mathematical Society (AMS). He was the Principal Investigator of the BRNS research project granted by BARC, Mumbai. Currently, he is acting as Principal Investigator of a research Project financed by DST, Govt. of India.
