Stated Second Edition. The book is bound in cream colored cloth with titling in black on the front cover and spine. Sprinkle of foxing on the front cover. Back cover is slightly bowed. Foxing on the top edges. name of previous owner on the first free endpaper. Otherwise, the pages are clean, smooth and unmarked. The dust jacket is in very good condition with light soiling and edge wear. The original price is on the front flap. Hofmann was an influential Swiss graphic designed who introduced Swiss graphic design in The United States in the 1980's while he was teaching at the Yale University School of Art. Friends of the Curtis Memorial Library, based in Brunswick, Maine is a non-profit corporation that exists solely to assist the Curtis Memorial Library in its many activities, principally through fundraising by the sale of used books. Operating through a retail outlet located at 200 Maine St. in Brunswick and through its on-line sales activities, Curtis Friends operates only with volunteers from the local community and sells only those books donated by its constituents. Curtis Friends has been in existence for several decades.
