Cover discolored and stained and the front endpaper as well as next two pages, including the title page and the frontispiece, are loose for a book that may have spent far too much time near a hot stove. But the balance of the book is in surprisingly good condition with some yellowing of the pages from age. Can you go wrong with a book that provides recipes for Stewed Hare and Broiled Birds? Date of publication only includes the three numbers 189. I made it 1899 because Abe requires four digits for the year of publication. so its difficult to determine when it was published and what edition this is.
