A lovely copy of the First Edition Library's facsimile of Fitzgerald's classic. The book is very tight and resists opening. There is just a bit of wear at head of spine, still fine. The dust jacket has a couple of spots of very light edgewear, still fine. The slipcase has a small crease near top of front panel, otherwise fine. Photos are the best description. No yellowing or fading to book, jacket, or case. A really nice copy of one of the First Edition Library's hardest facsimiles to find in this condition. The quality of these facsimiles is nothing short of extraordinary. First Edition Library Facsimiles had the same weight, size, typeface, art, dust jacket, finish and texture as the originals. The publisher's slip laid in with a description of the book and its first edition points is important to collectors, and this book has it. Published in the 1980-90s, these facsimiles are now collectible in their own right. Seller Inventory # 000603

Paperback. Condition: Good. Generally considered to be F. Scott Fitzgerald's finest novel, The Great Gatsby is a consummate summary of the "roaring twenties", and a devastating expose of the "Jazz Age". Through the narration of Nick Carraway, the reader is taken into the superficially glittering world of the mansions which lined the Long Island shore in the 1920s, to encounter Nick's cousin Daisy, her brash but wealthy husband Tom Buchanan, Jay Gatsby and the mystery that surrounds him. The book has been read but remains in clean condition. All pages are intact and the cover is intact. Some minor wear to the spine. Seller Inventory # GOR000245161
