VG+ in G d/j. 3rd impr August 1947 (same month as first) Captain Flint and the children have an adventurous trip to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Dark green boards clean and bright with just a hint of rubbing to the corners, a couple of which are v sl bumped. Spine similarly bright with again a hint of rubbing to the ends. Internally exceptionally bright and crisp. Edges lightly dusted. School prize certificate on page opposite list of other Arthur Ransome books. Green & white d/j not price-clipped but is worn around the edges. The top 1 and bottom 0.5 of the spine are missing but o/w it is substantially complete. A very nice early copy.
