Sold by subscription only. Three-quarter leather, over textured boards. Marbled endpages and page edges. Bindings are solid on all four volumes. Pages unmarked and only a little aged. No foxing but a few small stains/smudges. Plentiful b&w illustrations. Three volumes have ex-libris plates. Volumes I and IV have extra marbled strips on second page, possibly for repairs. Spine and corner leather is fairly worn, especially on Volume II. Cloth covers of Volumes II and III have minor staining.
