About the Authors
Kim Sigafus is an award-winning freelance writer and photographer from Warren, Illinois. She is an Ojibwa and her family is from the White Earth Indian Reservation in the northwest region of Minnesota.
Lyle Ernst is a member of the Native American Coalition of the Quad Cities based in Moline, Illinois. He is a free-lance journalist who has contributed news stories, feature stories, and columns to various newspapers.
