About the Author

Dr. Jeffrey Griffith first connected with hockey when the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim became an NHL franchise, witnessing the Ducks win California’s first Stanley Cup in 2007. He wrote his master’s thesis at California State University, Fullerton, on the Hockey Hall of Fame, using parts of its Greatest Collection to frame his research. He earned his doctorate from Claremont Graduate University. An avid hockey card collector, Griffith’s Wayne Gretzky, Terry Sawchuk, Georges Vezina and Hall of Fame collection has received accolades.

Roch Carrier was Canada’s National Librarian and is the beloved author of many Canadian classics for both adults and children. He has written many novels, short stories, plays, film and television scripts, essays, travel books, and poetry. His much loved children's story, The Hockey Sweater, remains a timeless favorite. Among his many other awards and honors, Mr. Carrier is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, an Officer of the Order of Canada, and the holder of many honorary doctorates.
