Synopsis
As a church leader who's concerned about our impact on God's creation, this compelling and user-friendly guide offers everything needed to organize and facilitate a 6-week Green Church study in your church. What does the Bible say about taking care of the Earth? What is the Christian view on climate change? What can you do to make a difference? Connecting science, Scripture, and personal stories, author Rebekah Simon-Peter explores these questions. In this thought-provoking exploration, Green Church's use of Scripture and Science reminds us of our responsibility to creation and, even more importantly, that we are truly an integral part of creation. Building upon the traditional conservation concepts of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, Green Church also reminds us of the importance of Repentance, Reclamation, and finally, Rejoicing in God's world.
Each session includes leader preparation, discussion questions, Bible study, individual and group activities, prayers, closings, and followup suggestions.
