Lasting from one week to one year or more, these projects involve research on wildlife, wildlife rehabilitation centers, volunteer work in national parks and protected areas, as well as general conservation work with a variety of species, both marine and terrestrial. The guide offers 3 indexes that help prospective volunteers easily choose their favorite project, and are indexed by geographical location, animal species, or project cost.
