T.p. missing, but introd. by Samuel Greene is dated 1847--this is part of a consignment of books owned by someone lived before the Civil War; 258 p., clean with very occasional pencil marks and slight foxing of strong paper; front gutter cracked and front matter before preface is missing, front board is detached, though thanks to leather spine panel it is not disconnected from rear board, and sewn signatures of text block are visible. Title and author taken from scuffed front board, and though faint, are legible with aid of magnifying glass. Corners are abraded and there are two small open holes in spine panel, one tiny, one a little larger just above name "Greene." This fine old work deserves rebinding.
