Graduated from the University of Idaho 1956 with a BS Degree in Forestry. Began a shooting career as manager of the Seattle Gun Club in 1963. In 1969 Jim started his sightless shooting school by first teaching point shooting to waterfowl and upland bird hunters. In 1971 Jim began the study of the psychological processes of consistency which led to the discovery of the origin of accuracy in point shooting the handgun and shotgun. In 1974 he began holding shooting schools for the U.S. Border Patrol and has continued to train Border Patrol Agents for 28 years.
