Jacket lightly dulled at spine, with some faint water marking and light wrinkling at head of spine and adjacent corner of front panel. 250 x 190 mm. xxviii, 564 pp. The first of an eight-volume series making available the folk songs collected by Gavin Greig and the Reverend James B. Duncan in the first two decades of the twentieth century. This first volume contains nautical, military and historical songs, and songs in which characters adopt the dress of the opposite sex.
