Grenades for the Home Guard and the E. Y. Rifle and Cup Discharger (Paperback)

Grenades for the Home Guard and the E.Y. Rifle and Cup Discharger is a 1941 World War II training manual by Lt. E. W. Manders, produced to provide British Home Guard personnel with instruction in the use of hand and rifle grenades for local defence. The manual covers the identification and handling of several types of grenade, including the Mills Bomb No. 36, the No. 68 anti-tank grenade, and German stick grenades. Particular attention is given to the E.Y. Rifle, an emergency modification of the Lee-Enfield designed for grenade launching, together with its accompanying cup discharger. Combining technical information with practical instruction, the book provides a fascinating insight into the equipment, training and methods issued to Britain's wartime Home Guard. As a contemporary manual produced during the early years of the Second World War, it is a useful reference for collectors, researchers and those interested in British military training and equipment of the period.
