- Biography
Here, side by side with the unforgettable contemporaries of his boyhood, jostle a variety of saints and sinners - priest and prostitute, virgin and virago, millionaire and market man. As he recreates a way of life now gone Finn conjures tears and laughter with poetic richness of expression, born of an abiding love of the English language first nurtured in his East End schooldays.
