Emory Kessler is a modern-day historian obsessed with timelines and precise archival footnotes. But the past begins to rearrange itself when Emory uncovers a baffling genetic link: an impossible bloodline connecting every single US president. Collaborating with Dr. Camille Routh, a genealogist whose algorithm accidentally traced time instead of just lineage, they find that the link leads back to Nathaniel Grimshaw, a revolutionary visionary rumored to have relocated forward in time rather than dying.

Their research inadvertently activates The Hamilton Fold, a spatial inflection point looping through realities that serves as the source of the dynasty's power. As subtle Echoflint flickers begin to distort birth records and speech patterns, Emory is targeted by Asher Varn, a ruthless rogue descendant who believes history should be bent to his will, not protected. In a race against time and paradox, Emory must decipher the founding code of a nation before the thread of history is cut forever.
