8pp article, printed in double columns, illustrated with 5 drawings by Rockwell, salvaged from a damaged issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine, Volume XLII, No. 2, December, 1906. The author's expose of child labor in American factories, stores, and shops, from the longer piece, The Hoe-Man in the Making, that appeared in Cosmopolitan over multiple issues, 1906 - 1907, and predates by some years the author's title, Children In Bondage, published by Hearst's International Library, NY, 1914. Housed in a protective mylar report cover.
