Catalogue of an exhibition of over 130 books, manuscripts, and works on paper from Grolier Club member collections. Each item includes a short essay from the owner/collector and is illustrated. This copy with a contemporary inscription on the half-title from bookseller T. Peter Kraus (of Ursus Books and a curator of this exhibition) to Ira A. Lipman, the notable philanthropist, bibliophile and founder of the private security firm, Guardsmark. Lipman s extraordinary collection of Americana was dispersed at Sotheby s in 2021 and realized $12.4 million. Designed by Jerry Kelly and printed at the Stamperia Valdonega in Verona. A fine copy with an excellent and substantive bibliophilic association.
