About the Authors

Anne M. Geroski, Ed.D. is an associate professor in the Counseling Program at The University of Vermont where she served as a coordinator of the Graduate Counseling Program. Dr. Geroski earned her bachelor's degree in special education from Syracuse University, her master's degree in counseling from the University of New Mexico, and her doctorate degree in counselor education from the University of Maine. Her current scholarly work focuses on skills training, parenting intentions, and the study of discourse analysis. She has worked as a teacher, school counselor, mental health counselor, and counselor educator for over 30 years.

Kurt L. Kraus, Ed.D., NCC, ACS, LPC, is a professor of counseling at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. He is proud to have collaborated with Anne and Jane on this project.

Jane E. Atieno Okech, Ph.D., NCC is a professor of counselor education and counseling at the University of Vermont. Dr. Okech is an Association for Specialists in Group Work fellow and associate editor of Journal for Specialists in Group Work.
