About the Author

James Callen has a spiritual gift of teaching, combined with a love and burden for people. He is the primary author and administrator of the Christian website, toliveischrist.com. This website is purposed at teaching biblical truths and encouraging believers to live for Christ.

James holds the Bible as the inspired Word of God, indisputable in authority, and the directional book for Christian growth. He enjoys teaching group Bible studies and is able to powerfully communicate biblical lessons in such a way so people can become more enlightened to the riches in God's Word and make applications to their daily Christian walk.

Although James is an award-winning Christian author, his work background has been primarily management in the U.S. Postal Service. However, James felt the Lord calling him to make a life shift and devote himself more to teaching fellow believers and sharing the gospel with a needy world. So, after a 36-year career with the Postal Service, he retired from a Postmaster position to follow the Lord's direction.

James and his wife, Denise, live in Southwest Louisiana, where they attend First Baptist Church of Westlake. They have three adult daughters, all married to devout Christian men, and they have seven grandchildren.
