Challenging accepted views of growing old, and offering ways to get the best out of life, this anthology of writings is by six women, all over 60, who write about themselves, their lives, their changing attitudes, their hopes and their fears. They show how age and infirmity need not be a barrier to fun, laughter and growth. By sharing their experiences and thoughts, the authors encourage readers to be "disgraceful" too; to try out new ambitions and use their own voices without fear of judgement and censure; to discard old identities and start being who they really want to be; and to learn to age with a sense of self-esteem and playfulness.
