Grumpy Mr. Zero (Critter Counsel Crew)

Grumpy Mr. Zero wants to matter. But when the other numbers tease him, his hurt feelings turn into anger—and he discovers what happens when they multiply by zero!

Soon, the numbers are frightened, and Mr. Zero has all the control he wanted. So why does he feel so alone?

Through playful rhymes, colorful illustrations, and King James Version Scripture, Grumpy Mr. Zero follows one unhappy number as he learns that God has given him a useful place among his friends. Along the way, children encounter a simple mathematical idea and a lesson about pride, kindness, and using their influence to help others.

Written by Dr. Glenn D. Johnson (aka Just Aman) for children ages 6–10, this Christian picture book invites families, classrooms, and Sunday school groups to talk about teasing, belonging, and the joy of treating others with love.
