Illustrated Color Wraps. Condition: Very Good. 2nd Edition. ?A Nice looking example of this wonderful early Appalachian Trail Guide. ?Powder blue covers with titles and the NE states illustration in Black. ?259 numbered pages with 2 very large folding maps in About FINE condition. ?The largest of the 2; 'The Appalachian Trail in Massachusetts' is quite large at 3' (36") long and 10.5" wide, while the other; ?'The Appalachian Trail in Connecticut' is about 2/3 that size at 23" x 10.5" NOTE: These maps remain fresh and clean in very much like new condition with beautiful blue lines showing trails and contour lines showing mountain and hill elevations, similar to the white & black line AMC maps of the same vintage but with more contrast, quite pleasing to the eye. The smaller map has a short tear at the gutter edge (common here as it is so tightly bound). ?Complete thus. Covers and spine are darkened a bit around 3 edges, bottom edge is as published, 3 cover corners lightly chipped, all else NF. ?A Decent/nice looking guide. ?Also included: An Original Supplement printed July, 1940, 6 leaves folded in 1/2 to make 12 pages of addenda material, just a bit smaller than the book so as to neatly tuck into the back. Illustrated Color Wraps. Condition: Near Fine. ?A Very Nice looking example of this wonderful early Appalachian Trail Guide. ?Nice powder blue covers with titles and the NE states illustration in Black. ?259 numbered pages with 2 very large folding maps in About FINE condition. ?The largest of the 2; 'The Appalachian Trail in Massachusetts' is quite large at 3' (36") long and 10.5" wide, while the other; ?'The Appalachian Trail in Connecticut' is about 2/3 that size at 23" x 10.5" NOTE: These maps remain fresh and clean in very much like new condition with beautiful blue lines showing trails and contour lines showing mountain and hill elevations, similar to the white & black line AMC maps of the same vintage but with more contrast, quite pleasing to the eye. 1 is loose in binding with a short, almost imperceptible, mended tear at the spine edge. ?Oddly there is not one called for in the TOC maps for NH & VT. ?Complete thus. Small lower corner crease to front cover, all else near fine. ?A very nice looking guide. ?Also included is the Supplement from 1940, 6 leaves folded in 1/2 to make 12 pages of addenda material, just a bit smaller than the book so as to neatly tuck into the back.
