A Guide to Correct the Common Errors in Equation and Identity

Equations and identities are core to algebra, and students often struggle with misconceptions, such as misinterpreting the equals sign or memorizing formulas without understanding. This book identifies the mistakes in equations and identities on account of misconceptions to help students avoid them and build a stronger grasp of concepts.
Teachers need resources to understand why students make misconceptions, face difficulties in factorising equations or in applying general formulas.
Again, analysing mistakes encourages critical thinking and deeper engagement with mathematical principles. It helps students to rethink on their errors and learn from them. This is crucial process for correct understanding of the mathematical concepts. By focusing on these areas, the book contributes to better learning outcomes. It documents these difficulties, which can improve curriculum development and research, ultimately benefiting the broader field of mathematics education.
The author has tried to help both educators and students to tackle common mistakes in equations and identities, which are fundamental in mathematics. By highlighting these errors, the book aims to improve teaching-learning process, making math more accessible and effective for school students.
This book will be useful for the school students, B.Ed. students and their teachers, curriculum developers, researchers of various levels and those who are interested in learning mathematics.
