A Guide to Holistic Wellness, Focus & Peace: AJ & the Constellation of Kindness Companion Curriculum

AJ & The Constellation of Kindness: A Guide to Holistic Wellness, Focus & Peace Companion Workbook

This workbook is an invaluable companion to the children's book, AJ & The Constellation of Kindness, designed specifically for educators, caregivers, and compassionate guides to use with children in grades K-5 . It offers a seamless, ready-to-use curriculum with lessons tied directly to the book's narrative, including ready-to-use printable handouts and facilitator tips to ensure ease of use in classrooms, counseling sessions, or a home environment.

Rooted in the narrative of AJ's cosmic adventure, this guide provides a flexible, staged-learning approach to incorporating lessons on

holistic health and nervous system regulation. The workbook is structured to help children learn practical, evidence-informed tools for emotional well-being, such as purposeful breathing, grounding in the present moment, and gently shifting unhelpful thoughts. By engaging in these activities, children develop the fundamental skills needed to move from states of overwhelm and frustration to states of calm, focus, and curiosity.

With age-adapted activities for "Young Explorers" (K-2) and "Middle Navigators" (3-5), the workbook makes complex emotional concepts accessible and engaging. It also serves as a "shared growth experience," as adults guiding children through the exercises may find themselves reinforcing their own personal regulation skills, fostering greater calm and resilience for all.

As a mom of five and a licensed clinical social worker engaged in private practice since 2008, Leigh Robertson brings a wealth of real-world experience to AJ & the Constellation of Kindness. She collaborated with her imaginative, neurodiverse son, AJ, to bring his vision to life, creating a heartwarming story that nurtures kindness and empathy in young readers.Leigh believes in equipping children with the ability to understand and navigate their inner experiences. The book's techniques, such as purposeful breathing and grounding, are powerful, evidence-informed tools for regulating the nervous system, which she believes is the foundation for effective attention and academic success.Beyond the lessons for children, Leigh believes that adults using the book and its companion workbook will also discover profound personal benefits, reinforcing their own regulation skills. The book's final message, "You are amazing. Take care of YOU!", is a personal message that she hopes will resonate with readers of all ages, reminding them that the path to well-being is a lifelong journey.
