About the Authors

Greg Tomsho is director of the Computer Networking Technology Department and Cisco Academy at Yavapai College in Prescott, Ariz. He has earned the CCNA, MCTS, MCSA, A+, Security+ and Linux+ certifications. A former software engineer, technical support manager and IT director, he has more than 30 years of computer and networking experience. His other books include MCTS GUIDE TO WINDOWS SERVER 2008 ACTIVE DIRECTORY CONFIGURATION, MCTS GUIDE TO MICROSOFT WINDOWS SERVER 2008 APPLICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE CONFIGURATION, GUIDE TO NETWORKING ESSENTIALS, GUIDE TO NETWORK SUPPORT AND TROUBLESHOOTING and A+ COURSEPREP EXAMGUIDE.

Ed Tittel worked as an instructor for Austin Community College from 1997 through 2003 and taught at Interop from 1996 to 2004. He is a Network Certified Professional, and works as a full-time freelance writer and consultant in Austin, TX. He has contributed to over 130 books on computing across a broad range of subjects, and is the author of numerous titles published by Course Technology. He also writes and blogs for numerous TechTarget.com and other Websites.

Greg Johnson received an M.A. in English from Southern Methodist University and a Ph.D. in English from Emory University. Dr. Johnson is the author of books of fiction, poetry, criticism, and biography, including the recent story collections, LAST ENCOUNTER WITH THE ENEMY (Johns Hopkins, 2004) and WOMEN I'VE KNOWN: NEW AND SELECTED STORIES (Ontario Review, 2007), the novel STICKY KISSES (Alyson Books, 2001), and two books on Joyce Carol Oates: INVISIBLE WRITER: A BIOGRAPHY OF JOYCE CAROL OATES (Plume, 1999), and JOYCE CAROL OATES: CONVERSATIONS 1970-2006 (Ontario Review, 2006). He joined the author team of PERRINE'S LITERATURE in 2002.
