I opened my first bookstore in Davis CA in 1985, and started selling online in 1998. I've sold about 50,000 books online, with fewer than 100 returns. I take book descriptions seriously--it's an art--and photos, if not initially available, need only to be requested. I've been away from abebooks a few years, but now am back, with vastly increased shelf space, and plan to double the inventory (while maintaining the erstwhile quality).
