The tenth edition of this work, very scarce in all editions.An interesting history and guide to the River Thames, following the river from its source to Putney. Written by John H. Salter. Salter was a boatbuilder located in Oxford, where he ran the family boating firm 'Salters Steamers'.Collated, illustrated with seven folding colour maps. Lacking one folding map, which should appear facing page 16.Rebound, with the publisher's original front and rear wraps bound in. With former owner's stamp to title page head.With six pages of advertisements to the start of the work, and twelve to the rear.Undated; dated via Jisc. Rebound in cloth, with publisher's original front and rear wraps bound in. Bumping to spine head and tail, with discolouration to back strip, and handling marks to front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Small areas of loss to margins of two advertisement leaves at the rear. One folding map detached to head but firmly held at tail. Lacking one map.
