Guide to Sound Systems for Worship by Jon F. Eiche is an audio technology reference for people involved in planning, purchasing, and operating sound systems in worship settings. Written as a nondenominational and non-brand-name resource, it focuses on the basic sound-system information most relevant to ministers, boards of trustees, worship and music committees, interested congregation members, and musical instrument dealer employees who sell sound systems.

The book provides a practical audio technology reference centered on the considerations surrounding worship sound systems. Rather than presenting material for a particular denomination or promoting a particular equipment brand, the guide approaches its subject in broadly applicable terms, with focused reference material concerning sound-system design, purchasing, and operation.

For churches and other worship environments, sound-system decisions can involve people with different responsibilities, from ministry and music leadership to committees and trustees. This guide brings the core subject into a single reference that can support discussions about audio needs, equipment purchasing, system design, and ongoing operation. It can also serve as relevant reference material for congregation members interested in worship audio and for musical instrument dealers working with customers who need sound systems.

As a practical worship sound reference, Guide to Sound Systems for Worship offers a focused resource for learning more about the considerations involved in designing, purchasing, and operating a sound system. Its broad, non-brand-name approach makes it suitable for personal reference, committee use, church audio discussions, professional reference, or gifting to someone involved with sound in a worship environment.
